  • To get started, here’s my favorite post of the week.

    http://www.bestvendor.com/lists/50-essential-tools-i-use-for-blogging-and-freelance-writing

It’s a list of all of the tools I use on a regular basis to manage my blog and freelance writing business.

If you like it, please take a moment to sign up for a free account on BestVendor and click on the big blue Like button under my author information in the right sidebar. I’m trying to make the #1 most popular liked list on their site, so it’s greatly appreciated! :)

  • Hello bloggers!

This was my favorite post (it’s one day more than one week old):http://12most.com/2012/09/27/methodical-time-management-systems/
Now I’m heading off to click the big blue Like button for ya!

  • Hey there, fellow bloggers!

    This was my favorite post:

    http://kimberlydhouston.com/7-ways-to-improve-your-website-content-today-basics-for-small-business-owners/

I wrote it because, as a freelance writer who writes web content, blog posts, press releases, case studies, feature articles and more (but who mostly writes web content these days), I’m constantly asked how writing for the web is different than other kinds of writing.  I wrote this blog post to answer that question, and to give small businesses a basic primer on writing content for their websites in a way that will get more client inquiries, and ultimately, sales.

By the way, went over and clicked the big blue “Like” button at BestVendor for ya, @kristi-hines, but I don’t think it registered my “like” — maybe there’s something I don’t know, like a secret code or something?  ; )

  • This is National Cruise Vacation Month so I’m featuring articles on my blog to help get cruise rookies started.

So far, this is my favorite post in the series:

    http://cruisewithchris.blogspot.com/2012/10/your-cruise-departing-from-nearby-port.html

We share stories about destinations we’ve visited, cruise industry news, weather and other natural disasters that impact cruise vacations, and occasionally feature a deal that’s too good not to share.

We’ve reached a milestone this year, posting our 1000th post, and decided it was time to take things up a notch and get some more pointers from those that have been blogging longer than we have.

    We’d welcome your comments.

  • I recently saw an ad here in South Africa that was based around interaction on Facebook and wrote an article on the ad and how social media influences how we operate. I also explain why it is so important to not ignore social like some marketing companies here in South Africa seem to do.
