Blogging | Forum « ”Read More” Link Not Showing Up…

Hi all,

Well I figured out the problem but I don’t have a solution. Maybe you will get it?

On my theme options, magazine style is chosen rather than blog style. When I switch to blog style, the “read more” link appears and works! However.. it then doesn’t show the featured image of that post on the home page.

Only in magazine style it shows the image which is important because it is a product review site. It also asks for the # of excerpt characters to show and 180 is in that box. So right now it’s one or the other but not both.

So how do I have the image show and also the ability to have the “read more” link be there?

@nicole-steinberger Is this a premium theme? You might want to contact the creator and see if there is some custom code you can use to get that to appear along with the image.

@nicole-steinberger You’re welcome. Took a bit for me to find code for Genesis that did a custom Read More link and worked with excerpts instead of using the More tag. But chances are, no matter what theme you use, someone has done it.
