proper grammar? (3 posts)

  • How important do you think proper grammar is? Do we have a different set of rules for social media? What about misspellings? What about wrong use of verb tenses? What about the wrong word, i.e. your instead of you’re, there or their? Do you edit for typos?IMHO: I won’t shop at a store that consistently (maybe even occasionally) misspells words on its marque. I really am afraid to buy stake at the meet market! What are your thoughts?

  • Grammar is one of the most underrated pieces to strong blogging. Writing, similar to speaking, should be done well. You never want to sounds like a robot when you’re writing, but you also want to be clear in your message. Grammatical mistakes, more times than not, discredit the point you’re trying to make. There’s a big difference between texting a friend and putting out a valuable piece of information for the entire world to read.

  • @deairby @sbush We have some discussion on that already over here.
