Prezi awesome new interactive infographic creation for free! (4 posts)

  • Has anyone tried http://prezi.com/ ? It looks so cool! Like an interactive infographic. The best thing is the price is … Free! If you’ve used it please share your images. I want to use it and I’m having some challenges figuring out what to create!

  • @amyhallbiz I just know that once you are able to figure out how to use this new tool that you are going to provide a manual for the rest of us that are too afraid to attempt to use it.. lol  Well, I thought I would ask…

  • Dave, my thoughts exactly, lol! Go get em, Miss Amy!

I’ll tell you how I started using Prezis… and it may be something you want to consider BEFORE you jump in whole-heartedly. Can’t remember if they REQUIRE this or not, but it makes for great shareware of a sort.

Other videomakers have recommended using existing Prezis with which to make informational videos about… let’s say… medical topics. Plenty of creative commons type material to use there. And the standard form for creating a Prezi I think allows reuse automatically. I’m thinking if you DON’T want it reused, you have to sign up for that, and maybe even pay. Check that out and let us know, ok?

Anyway, one fellow videographer took an existing Prezi, videotaped it using Camtasia or Screencast-o-matic or something like that. The topic was a sexually transmitted disease… and he sold it to a local doctor who paid him to upload the Prezi-turned-video it to his YouTube Channel. Really cheap source of authoritative and frequently watched material there. Cool idea, eh?

Just sayin’… if you want to keep your Prezi to yourself… you many have to pay. But for the rest of us… yeeha! Great source of free and easy authoritative, educational videos.

There are also a lot of existing children’s stories with lots of graphics, like Three Little Pigs that make great kids’ video, too. Something for everyone… and a lit extra cash-generation for videomakers, too. :)

  • Yikes… just when we thought it was safe to go back in the water :) This looks awesome – leaving for a conference in the a.m. and looks like I found something to play with in my “spare time.” Thanks for sharing, Amy – this site rocks!
