Pocket – Great Tool for reading storing blog posts and reading them later (7 posts)

Topic tags: bookmarks
  • As the tittle suggests if you do a ton of blog post reading, then you often wound up with lots of bookmarks and blog posts you want to read later. I use Pocket formerly called read it later. It helps me do 3 things:

    1. Save blog posts using chrome extension
    2. Read them offline on my android tablet
    3. Tag and sort them for future reference.
    What do you use?

  • @geoffrey-gordon – I use Pocket too but not extensively. Every time I know I’m travelling, I fill it up and read it on my tablet.

My go-to tool is Evernote. I use it store research, capture ideas, etc.

  • @samarowais I use a a free app called Catch to capture my ideas and put them into action

  • @geoffrey-gordon @samarowais I use Instapaper for saving things to read later. I also use Evernote for saving ideas, etc. I’ve never heard of Catch. I’ll have to check it out.

  • @geoffrey-gordon I mainly use Evernote but may try Pocket.

  • @geoffrey-gordon I have Pocket, but haven’t ever used it. :( I use Google Reader for perusing posts & Buffer for tweeting articles I find valuable. I saw that Buffer has a new mobile app that incorporates Pocket. Might need to try it. Currently, I bookmark using Chrome.

@jay_rombach @samarowais I haven’t used Evernote (or Catch for that matter). May need to check those out.

  • Evernote here, but willing to look at Pocket and Catch.

After a while though, I just get too overwhelmed and scrap everything… info overload gets to me sometimes, lol.
