Need to create a WXR file for DISQUS (8 posts)

    Hello All, I recently made the switch to DISQUS for my WP site and noticed that my previous comments don’t show up. How do I create a WXR file to import my comments. Thank you, Dyane

    @dyanebradley after a brief google search this is what I found: http://docs.disqus.com/help/24/ I hope that works. There were a number of hits off this search string: export wordpress comments to disqus via wxr so take a look around!

    SUCCESS!  @glengorham and  @moinshaikh                                                     I was able to pull my existing comments out of WP and into DISQUS.:-) It was easy once I slowed down and looked at the Plugin (lesson learned). 
    If you login, go to the “Plugins” page, scroll down to DISQUS. Click on settings and in the upper RH corner choose “Advanced”. Scroll down until you see Import/Export and choose “Export” comments. It works immediately. I tried the other ways and nothing worked. Now we know how to do it.:-)
