  • Hi All
So i would like to show you a few resources, i have picked up along the way that will really get you going and make you an excellent blogger:

    2. Content Marketing another great freebie from copyblogger.com
    3. Derek Halpern is a legend at crafting blog posts @ socialtriggers.com
    4. John Morrow the king of guest blogging, this guy runs a top notch blog BoostBlogTraffic.com from his wheelchair (paralyzed from the neck down).
    5. Inbound Marketing from hubspot, an 18 module course which is free, you can even get a certificate.
    6. Hubspot Webinars this one section has so much of info you wont know where to start, but what a wealth of information.
    7. A-List Blogging Boot camps a great community with awesome content to teach you everything about blogging form beginning to advanced. Costs only $20 a month.
Hope these resources help you as much as they have helped me.

There are more, but i didn’t want to cram too much and this is a lot to get started with.

If you have any I have missed I would love to hear about it. :)

  • @geoffrey-gordon Thanks for sharing Geoffrey! :) I would also add ProBlogger’s eBooks on blogging to the list -  http://www.problogger.net/learn/.

  • This is an awesome list of resources @geoffrey-gordon!

Thank you very much for sharing.

    All the best,

    Jay

  • Well done sir.

  • Thank you so much! I’m a perma-student of life and love learning. I inhale 3-5 books a week already. I need to spend more time reading these resources and taking this free or nearly free classes.

I am still struggling with how to start making myself a brand. I have all this knowledge, I probably don’t even know how much I know, and I tend to undervalue myself all the darn time. So this kind of list of resources is yummy mind candy for me. Thanks so much!

  • @geoffrey-gordon  Fantastic resources, all.  I would also add to the list Corbett Barr’s site, Think Traffic (http://thinktraffic.net/) — it’s a treasure trove of all things traffic for bloggers.  Tons of resources, roadmaps — and stories of successes, and lessons learned — there!  : )

  • Thank you what a great stable of resources. Will now have to digest them. Do the words information overload apply here? I am seeing there are so many things I can do with my blog. But wow, where do I start?

Just have to jump in and swim!

    Thanks,
    ~Laura

  • Fabulous list!

  • @geoffrey-gordon Geoffrey, every time I’m more impressed about your knowledge.
    Thanks for this sources ;)

  • @maurodand thanks for the feedback. I try to help where I can. Shout if there are any other questions or resources you are looking for and i will try to post them on this forum.

  • I think its great for people to be so willing to share good things. The blog world is so very different from other business experience I have had. I am amazed that the community exists by contribution…….!

    Thanks for this post

    daveM

  • @dave-mackay you are welcome

  • I have been following the valuable links you provided for many hours and also following those new links that I am finding. You have provided a huge gold mine of resources with your post.! I am not so sure that I will get past idea #4 for several days, I seem to have found a lot that interests me there and on the related links. There have not been many posts in the past that have been able to send me to what I am extremely interested in at this time…… I am really lucky to have seen your initial post..!

Would you be able to write on the topic….. ’15 ways that I get people to stay on my site and then come back tomorrow’ haha  or something similar….. That is one area in which I need to work, I am wondering what ideas there are for that. This site attracts me because of the content, the appearance of the pages, the social aspects and of course, the people that visit the site.

  • @geoffrey-gordon Thanks for sharing! You have saved me some hours of research :-)

  • Thank you all for the very insightful information. “The more I learn, the more I learn how much I don’t know!” haha @geoffrey-gordon @kristi-hines @kimberlyhouston

  • @geoffrey-gordon I have only traveled as far as #4 in the list and the amount of great content and ideas that the first four lead to is enormous.

  • Great list, buddy. I would also love to add “Viperchill” (internet marketing)

  • @geoffrey-gordon How come he had 143 comments on the very first blog post? Further he is having so less number of content to read.

  • @geoffrey-gordon Thanks for the great list, Geoffrey! And also for the heads up about John Morrow. I didn’t realize he was disabled or maybe I just forgot. I’m always so inspired by those who can turn something that seems so negative into such a positive for themselves and others as well. Their loss seems to always be a gain for others. Makes me be even more thankful for my own gifts and spurs me to share even more.

    Thanks for these “gifts,” Geoffrey!
