Looking for fresh blog content (6 posts)

  • I’m looking for articles and reports for my “More Clients Blog.” Audience are Independent Professionals such as management consultants, business coaches and corporate trainers who want to be better marketers of their services.

For 15 years the content has been by yours truly.

I’m looking for evergreen how-to articles on any and every aspect or marketing and selling that would appeal to this audience.

    See the blog here: http://actionplan.com/blog

If you’d like to contribute content or a once-in-awhile or regular bases, let me know by filling out this application.

I’ve been very inspired by Social Media Examiner and Michael’s approach and want to go in this direction of guest bloggers and daily blog posts.

    Many thanks, Robert M.

  • @robertmiddleton  You might find some ideas in this thread: http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/clubs/blogging/forum/topic/where-do-you-find-content-for-your-blog-posts/

also a quick search in the bar on the upper right will show several SME articles on the subject.

I have setup some Google Alerts for topics in my area of interest that I get daily that give me ideas. Hope some of that helps!

  • Google alerts is an AWESOME way to get fresh new content!

If you’re looking for people to contribute, I would suggest signing up for http://www.bloggerlinkup.com/ where you can ask for guest posts & you can submit guest posts for others.

Another good one is: http://myblogguest.com/ Again, you can request blog posts and people can suggest that you write certain posts.

    Good luck!

  • @robertmiddleton I would add “submit a guest post” on the title of your page.  A lot of people search those terms when looking for places to submit content.  And take the tip from @morganbarnhart on trying My Blog Guest too!  :)

  • Thanks Kristi, right now I’m only inviting those in my list and social media networks. This is thousands of people so I think I’ll find enough!

    Many thanks, Robert

  • Not sure if it helps, but I created a little tool to make it easy to create “flow” content for your blog. Basically you would find content that you find interesting on a different blog or web site and then click on a bookmarklet to start blogging about it. It will automatically link to the original post and get an image for the post. The tool is just in beta right now, so it does currently require a copy and paste, but I’m working on automating that. This might help you easily keep content coming on your blog once you find good sources of content.

You can take a look at the tool at http://scovry.com.
