1 year ago: @talkfusionassoc When you are selecting a theme, you may notice that some of them have a space for Google Analytics tracking code in the control panel. That makes it easy. But even if they don’t, you can use the editor to insert the code into the theme template. Every theme is different, but most of them have a header template. Like @erikdeckers said, you put it above the </head> code. But not when you host on Wordpress.com.
If the theme you choose doesn’t have your code in the control panel, if you have to insert it into the code yourself, remember that you will have to redo this every time you upgrade/update the theme files. The new version will automatically overwrite any customizations you have done.
