How to extend your blog for a new business (8 posts)

  • Dear Friends,

We have a question. We have a successful blog about Ibiza a popular spanish island. We write about all kind of activities that you can do on the island. At the moment we are in the process of setting up a Personal Training company on Ibiza. Now is our question what should we do..
1 Should we build a new blog from zero.. 2 Should we make a section of Sports and wellness ( wich we already have ) and use the good name that we already have…
We are looking forward to your comments.

  • Hi Virgil, the island looks SWEET!

If this were my personal training business, I would create a new site just for that business for 2 reasons…

    1. It will look more professional
    2. People won’t be confused by all the other information

    That’s my 2 cents. Good luck! :)

  • HI Glen,

Thank you for your kind reply… For sure the Personal Training business will get a separate website, but the blog is about Ibiza and with a good reader base..
It will be easy for us to add a subject about Personal training and health in general so we can lift on the brand name we already build… Is that something good to do according to your opinion?
    Thanks in advance,
    Virgil

  • Hi Virgil, I would definitely add a page onto your current Ibiza blog, about your personal training business, and have it tie into the new personal training blog.

The personal training blog is where they’ll find everything about…training classes, healthy foods, exercises, apparel, memberships, etc.

    Hope this helps :)

  • So it is now wise to keep it in the excisting one… The other blog has no business attached to it.. it is just a blog… thank you in advance…

Hi Virgil,  I would set up a page on the Ibiza blog that tells your current audience about your new personal training business.

The page that you set up about your personal training business, within your Ibiza blog, will tell your current audience about your training business, what you offer, and any specials you’re running.

Then you can set up specific links within that page that takes interested prospects from your Ibiza blog to your new personal training blog, where they can get the full details.

You’re basically setting up a page on your existing blog, with some details and links to your new personal training blog.

    Hopefully this makes sense? :)
