How To check the position of website in Google? (7 posts)

  • Hi Guys!

I want to check my sites position in Google and I am sure there will be a tool which gives the require result’s but I am unable to find that.

Any other suggestion will also be appreciated!

I am hoping to get the solution sooner and thanks in advance.

  • Hey Muhammad,

Advanced Web Ranking is one of the most popular tools that helps you track your position in rankings.

I am not aware of your current needs so I won’t get into details about the other features of Advanced Web Ranking. They might not appeal to you right now.

However if you decide to settle for a tool, you should know that AWR also has link capabilities and it’s synchronized with Google Analytics.

If you need more information about this tool, I’d be glad to help you with that :)

  • You can also turn on your Private Browsing on your browser, sign in to Google, and then do a search for your chosen terms. It’s not as easy as Advanced Web Ranking, but it’s a quick and easy way to get an idea of where you stand on Google.

  • I use the Pro account with http://www.seomoz.org/ @ayaz1

I’m interested in what pages are ranking for what terms and how my webpages show up for those terms.

You also have to keep in mind that personalization and localization settings now play a role in what people see for search results so it’s harder and harder to know how a site is doing.

  • @ayaz1  Here’s an add on tool bar for Firefox that give you your Google PR rand Alexa ranking, Quantcast ranking, tells you how many incoming websites a site has and gives you the who is info. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/webrank-toolbar-pagerank-alexa/

  • I appreciate your post @ayazi and the great solutions offered by Members on how best to check the position of websites in Google. The tools are great. Thank you all!

  • @ayaz1 I like Authority Labs personally.  You can set up 10 keyword searches for one website with a free account of pay for more keywords and website profiles.  They will continuously track your rankings on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
