How many blogs do you write for? (13 posts)

  • Apart from my own I probably write for maybe half a dozen other blogs on a regular basis (ie at least once per month).

    How about you all?

  • At the moment I only write my 2 own blogs, Dutch and English.

  • I have not long been blogging, only since may, but are now guest blogging on one every 2 weeks, as well as twice a week on my own site and just recently added my first post to another site, which gained over 1000 views in 24 hrs, so was pleased with that! (which is when I am able too). I also may be blogging for another 2 sites if accepted, but will have to manage my time more efficiently!

  • I was keeping a blog running for each of my kids – trying to post thing that they were interested in. Interesting thing to do.

  • @adigaskell As a freelance writer, I write for about 15 different blogs – some with my own name credited to the posts, others as a ghostwriter. :)

  • Interesting @kristi-hines.  I presume therefore you get paid for these articles?

  • @adigaskell Yes – it’s how I make my living! I still write for some sites as a guest blogger, but those are usually just the ones that drive a ton of traffic to my website which makes it worth it.

  • @kristi-hines cool.  I didn’t think it was possible these days to make a decent living from blogging (in terms of money for the actual content rather than advertising), so it’s great to see it’s possible.

  • Company blog, my NC-17 anonymous tumbler, and articles for a local reviews site.

  • My two blogs, which is about to become 3, and the company blog, so 4 in total.

  • @kristi-hines @adigaskell So how do you determine who to Ghost-Write for vs. in your own name.Do you re-post all your ghost articles to your own blog? Do you ghost-comment for the ghost written articles? (hope that make sense). (kristi)How often do you post on average per site?Do you do all of the responding for all 15+ sites? Do you sleep? Do you include reposting and responding in your consultant fee?Write for 3 including my own and I am adding 3 more this month. Yikes:) Ok, I will stop.Thank you all so much

  • I try to write about 4 guest posts per month..

I also accept guest posts on my blog. But now I am looking to build a team of regular guest posters who can contribute to my blog on a regular basis, that is at least once a month.

  • @ellenpartal Ghostwriting is per the client – a few want it, but most clients would rather it look like they have guest posts by an expert authors vs. just a bunch of posts by them. With ghostwriting, I give them full rights to the content I produce, and can’t really use it again after that point. Ideas yes, but word per word reuse, no. Typically they handle the comment response if it’s a ghostwriting project, but I’ll handle comments if it is one of my posts. Really only one of the sites I regularly write for gets a huge amount of comments, so it’s not too hard to keep up with.

And yes, I still sleep a good bit, especially now that I’m expecting. :)
