Guest bloggers can be a godsend when you are too busy to keep up with your normal blogging schedule, but it is often hard to have them be as on point and targeted to your core messaging as you might want. If I do have someone guest blog, I always let them know that I will edit as necessary to fit the expectations of my readers and that usually works pretty well.

On the plus side, guest bloggers often bring real world perspectives to job seeking (which is the focus of my blog). People love stories and it’s a nice way to bring warmth to a “how-to” article.
