Help With Social Media Button Decisions on my Blog! (6 posts)

  • Hi folks,Thanks for helping me think through this one… I am creating a review site. It is a secondary business for me and at present, I am not developing a Facebook page, a Twitter account, or Google + specifically for this site. Perhaps in the future…So… I am wondering if it makes sense or even works to have those social media buttons available at each post for readers to “like, share, +…” If I don’t have an account at those networks, does it make sense to leave them out?Thank you, Dr. Nicki

  • Hi Nicole

Social share buttons are tools for readers to share your content on their accounts. So even if you don’t want to create your own online social media presence(s) that doesn’t get in the way of giving your readers the option of sharing on their social networks.

  • Perfect, thank you.

  • @nicole-steinberger Yes, you can use social media sharing buttons on your review site, as @juleswebb mentioned above all the details. If you’re creating your site in WordPress there are many wonderful Social Media Widgets to be used.

  • @nicole-steinberger You should still have social sharing buttons – you don’t need an account on any of those networks to make those work and it will allow you to get social media traffic back to your website. :)

  • Thank you!
