I have a wordpress.org site and when I click on the hyper link icon or use the alt-shift-A nothing happens. What I have had to do is create the link in a word document, copy and then paste it. AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHow can I fix this or whom can I ask? Should I change the theme?If it would help to see the site, the link is odeame.comThanks,signed: Going Crazy:) ;(

Hi Dea, can you be more specific?
Here’s how I would add a link to text…
1. Hover mouse over the specific text I want to add a link too
2. Click on the link icon in my text editor
3. Add in the link URL that will attach to my text and click submit
If this doesn’t work for you, then I would try to re-update Wordpress, or the theme, and see if that doesn’t fix the glitch. You can update these easily from within your dashboard.
You can also touch base with your theme provider and see if they can help.

@deairby You should be able to highlight the word, then click the hyperlink button and add the link. My blog recently lost the ability to upload images – I had to update it to the newest version of WordPress and then everything worked again.

more specifically: when I highlight the words I want to be the “title” of the link and click the ‘add hyper link’ icon, nothing happens. I have also updated with the latest version. Still nothing. Even when I highlight and use the alt-shift-A it doesn’t work. @glenandrews @kristi-hines
