Google Analytics new version won’t allow pdf download. (9 posts)

  • Those who use Google Analytics on regular basis for measuring their online campaigns, will definitely be aware of the fact that google analytics has recently introduced new interface and will be making it default in coming time, at the time it is optional!. But when you go with new interface, and when you export the report it gives you options like csv, excel and xml versions but not the much handy pdf version which is still available under old interface. PDF is really awesome and handy for the non techy business owners. So anyone here knows if there is any other way to export pdf under new interface? (I am however not much hopeful)

  • Ive noticed this, and I have no idea if this is something they will change or not…

However, Ive noticed that it has made me document my month-to-month activity better. I bring the charts into Google Docs and have set up different sheets for different metrics, and am now able to, more easily, compare month to month activity and results…

  • @melissaagnes that’s great! but the thing is that we being human being are tend to not loose the old habits :( we were (are) using pdf version for a long time from now and so at least for me, it will hard to switch over to csv or anything else. But thanks for that google docs plan! Will try it too!

  • I understand! I thought the same thing… and still think it would be more convenient at times (especially for clients) if they would bring back the .pdf’s. I wonder why they changed it anyway? There must be a reason… maybe someone here knows?

  • @melissaagnes, may be. I hope we will somehow, somewhere find this WHY. But till the time, we need to get used to (and our clients too) this new changes, because only one thing is permanent in life and that is: CHANGE!

  • @moinshaikh Looks like there’s a huge discussion about that going on here - https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!topic/analytics/FZdKq_Nn1jU

  • @kristi-hines great resource, thanks. Any personal view from your side re. this change?

  • @melissaagnes @kristi-hines GOT IT! GA Team will be integrating not only the original export pdf feature but will also be integrating Report Email Schedule in the new interface in few weeks. Stay Tuned!!

    Love Google!!!

  • @moinshaikh I don’t have clients, so I don’t really need the PDF reporting options.  Each time I’ve needed to export, I’ve always done it in CSV because I wanted the info in a spreadsheet.
