Experienced a lot of Squidoo Comment Spams (5 posts)

    Hi friends here at SME.

    For some reason I have experienced a lot of Squidoo comment spams lately. Of course our friend Akismet take care of them all. But it is getting rather annoying.

    Anyone else experience the same? Any tip how to totally block these comments?

    Must be spam season now. Also getting a lot more spam emails then usual.

    There is a plugin called Spam Free Wordpress that is extremely useful and effective.

    @aremorch Unfortunately, all you can do is mark them as spam in Akismet and hope it starts to adapt filtering.

    Spams seems to come in bulks. And it has calmed a little down. Akismet rocks!



    Still getting some of those ridicules lottery emails and money transfers. Just got my new emails up and running, so might just need to check my filters there.
