empty white space above sidebar (3 posts)

    on one of my blogs, am using blogger.

    the layout is simple- one colum (sidebar on the left)

    however when i go into the layout page, there is an “add a gadget” box above my first sidebar item.  this empty gadget space moves all my other sidebar items down and creates empty white space on the blog.  i cannot move the “add a gadget” out of the way or to the bottom of the sidebar.  can someone help me please.  I hope i explained this well..thanksroma

    Roma, I am on Blogger and understand what you mean about the “Add a Gadget” box being on top of the right sidebar, but it only shows up on the layout page not on the actual preview or real blog (it is always there so you can continue to add widgets to your sidebar ).

    If you are encountering a white space dropping your other widgets down, I would suspect it is something else … perhaps an empty widget that you added, but that needs to be deleted or maybe there is something where the spacing isn’t working right and you need to add pixels to your right sidebar width to get your widgets to fit right.

    well this is interesting.. kathy i went into my template layout and did not notice any hidden gadgets.. so i went into the layout and changed the view- so deleted the column on the right simce i did not need it.. when i see the blog below the layout screen everything is fine, but when i click to view blog it always has this big empty white space between the first and second blog and that”s when the column on the left side appears.. i am mystified.. lol

    even when i adjust the column and blog widths.. the column on the left always appears beside the second post and never beside the first post on the screen.. dang…
