Hi Joan, if the new blog is totally different than your business blog, and would attract a totally different audience, I personally wouldn’t attach the new blog to the business blog.
You may get a little boost by linking it to your business blog, but not much, and it might be confusing to your existing audience.
If the new blog is different but does interest and benefit your current (business blog) audience, you can create a page (called “blog” or whatever you want) and do a 301 redirect taking anyone who clicks on the “blog” title, in your menu, to your new blog.
Or, you can create a page describing your new blog with some details, and then create a link within the page that takes them to the new blog.
Some blog themes have a 301 redirect incorporated within each page so you can easily add in the URL. You’ll see the 301 redirect option if you scroll to the bottom of your “page” if your theme has incorporated this feature.
Just my 2 cents
Good luck with the new blog Joan!
