Contact Page – Content Suggestions… (9 posts)

  • Hi folks,

I am just putting together a contact page for my review site and would love your feedback.

For email: Do you prefer an email address link or a contact form? Please explain… And if you prefer the form, which form do you suggest?

I have a business phone line – do you suggest using it?
And then my social network url’s…

    Anything else?

    Thanks much,
    Dr. Nicki

  • @nicole-steinberger Is it in WordPress?

  • Yes… it is.

  • Hi Nicole, I offer phone number, email address, and a contact form (I use “contact form 7″ plugin).

Everyone’s different, so I like to let them choose which way works best for them.

I also let them know when contacting us by email or contact form, that we’ll respond within 24-48 hours.

  • @nicole-steinberger  Nicole, I have used contact form 7 in the past but, now I use iContact. If you are going to be asking for an email address from your readers, why not have a way to capture them and build an email list. You never know when you might want to start emailing your posts as a newsletter.

  • Thank you, all!

  • I use a contact form (on Blogger) as opposed to including my email address because that just invited a ton of spam. The contact form works pretty well in just getting real messages from real people.

  • This all comes down to how you want people to get in touch with you.

I usually go for just a contact form & email address but for the majority of my content sites.

For the email address I always make sure it’s unlinked and something like – adam[at]bloggingwizard.com to hopefully try and stop people from scraping my email address.

Social networks are always a good one … you could try including a Tweet you button (e.g. - https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons#mention).

  • I want to add a join me tab on my facebook page. I was hoping to find one that was basically copy and paste html (I have no knowledge of html) . Where can I find a simple html or a free button to add to my fan page?
