Hi There!
I would like to know which comment system you prefer for a Wordpress blog.I’m currently using the built-in system which is great if you are not loosing it due some own mistakes.
DISQUS is a hosted system which could impact your site performance but gives you some more login options for your guests. And you won’t loose your comments if you make a mistake.
Any suggestions?Oh just to mention, it’s about my personal blog so no high traffic over there.

Hi Nick, Why do you need a commenting system?
We have used almost every commenting system possible for our multi author blog. We got on well with Disqus although mobile readers struggled with it. I loved approving comments via email etc.
We also enjoyed LiveFyre for a time but again, readers got upset because they struggled to use it via mobile devices.
We have now settled using GASP and CommentLuv and that works very well on mobiles.

Thanks for your suggestions, I will have a look at them.
Well, I want to restart my personal blog as this is on my new years resolution So I want to give my visitors an easy way to leave their comments.

been using DISQUS for a while and i like it for the collaborative aspect (comments people leave as well as comments Ive left on other blogs using it)
i also think DISQUS can build better awareness for the commenter in that people can see how many comments they have left and where.
the avatars pics are also quite crucial.
i dont mind it and will continue to use it

@dextereugenio Thanks for your message. I second all of your points that’s why I’m thinking about DISQUS. How is there server response? I remember it a long time ago that DISQUS had some real problems resulting in slow server response at the client side.
Did you ever tried intensedebate?
