@roryramsden I would skip Amazon and check out ProBlogger’s eBooks - http://www.problogger.net/learn/.  They are the ones I always recommend people try for good how to blogging tips for beginners through business bloggers.

I agree with @kristi-hines, I don’t think someone should look in a book for ways to blog.  Blogging is an online resource, and the best way to get resources on this topic is to look at other blogs about blogs.  There you can see actual examples.  If someone is taking the time to write about it in a book, I don’t think they fully understand the capabilities of a blog themselves.
