Is it possible to change a theme after a blog site has been developed? I want to get started with my site but I might find a theme later that I like better.

Yes it is. In fact, there’s even a plugin (don’t remember the name) that lets you preview theme changes without changing the actual theme, but you get to see how it actually works, and not just a sample.

Hi Dea, that is the big advantage with solutions like WordPress. Content and theme are separated. So you can easily change the theme.
@Erik the latest WordPress version let’s you change the theme, and see how it looks, before it goes life (no plugin needed).

Erno – how do you go about previewing a new theme with your content? Do you just apply the new theme? Do others see it or just the admin until accepted?

@evelyneoreskovich In Appearance > Themes You will see all the themes installed in your WP install.
Here you can click on “Live Preview” to see what the theme looks like with your content. In some cases you can even customize the theme, than save and publish it, but I do believe the theme has to be able to do that. The standard WP themes for instance have that ability.Under the tab Install Themes you’ll find the bottomless pit of available themes…And yes, you just ‘Activate’ it and yes, after activation everybody sees it, but only after activation, not during preview.
