Can’t access Wordpress details (6 posts)

  • HI everyone,Have been extremely busy over the past months working on a new web page with Artiseer and Wordpress – and now am extremely depressed over what happened this morning:

I was attempting to put in a language switch plug so I can have two languages .i.e. English & German, I have no idea what I did when I was working on it and can’t access any information on it whatsoever. It shows me that all the plugins are there and go to the page, but when I try to go there nothing happens all I get eventually is this messageInternal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, service@webmailer.de and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Nothing I seem to do gets me into the program, ANY help would be really really appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Sylvia

  • @lscsprachschule

Hi Sylvia, If you added a plugin (language switch plugin) and cannot access the wordpress dashboard, you can delete the plugin from within your hosting account.

Then try to access your dashboard and see if the language plugin was the culprit. Then try and upload the language plugin again and see if it works.

If you don’t know how to access your plugins from within your hosting account, let me know and I’ll do a quick step by step video tutorial for you. (Would be to long to write it out here)

  • Hi Glen,

Many thanks for your help, I will try to do so, and if not I will definitely come back to on your kind offer.

    Warmest regards

  • Hello everyone out there-

the saga continues albei on a slightly different track. We managed to get the details back again, however it now tells me we have 14833 pages, which is nowhere near what we have.

Unfortunately if I want to access the information all I get is the following message

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 107479040) (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /mnt/web5/a3/39/51776439/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-includes/cache.php on line 574

We have tried to deactivate plugins, phoned the server who says it’s a memory problem but can’t help us. I have even deleted photos in case this increased the number of pages – all to no avail.

Any help would be gratefully received,

    Warmest wishes and thanks

  • Hi Sylvia, here’s a good forum thread that may help. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-allowed-memory-size-of-33554432-bytes-exhausted-14

Hope this helps Sylvia. Let us know.
