I thought this would be so easy to find until I started to Google it and got… nowhere! Please can you some themes or theme vendors that start with the top banner and side boxes laid out for Ads?

@abigailgorton Finding themes with specific features that are current can be tough. You can usually customize most themes to incorporate ad space – sidebar widgets can be added easily to most and then you just code in the image / ad / ad code into the widget box. Header banners are a little trickier, but typically you can find some coding examples on how to do it, especially if you go with a premium theme with forum support like StudioPress or Elegant Themes. Elegant Themes does have a few themes with sidebar adblocks built in too. There’s also one by Press75 called Massive News that has a header and sidebar ads built in.

@kristi-hine, Thanks! As the day went on I realized that this is an unusual problem to have – 150K followers and no ads yet. And time for a rebuild! I guess most blogs start with a theme and adapt it as they get big enough to take ads. We need to run ads as soon as we put the new theme in.

I am working on a site using elegantthemes.com also and am impressed with the options for ad space. Thanks for the tip on Press75 and studiopress also – will check them out.
