    Hi, I am a digital marketing (DM) consultant and would like to attract various types of businesses to my blog. Would it be more effective to blog about general DM topics or to target specific industries e.g. Hotels?

    @aamilon There are a couple of ways you can go about it. You can write general articles and within them, use examples that apply to your target verticals like:

    Tip 1: Do This.

    • Real estate agents could do it like this.
    • Hotels could do it like this.
    • Restaurants could do it like this.
    Or, you could write posts like 5 Ways [Specific Vertical] Can Do ___. The latter could help when people from those verticals are looking for content related to them, but the former will allow people from lots of different verticals to enjoy it while showing specific ones you know what they need.
