@mutunga I’ve been blogging for three years now. Blogging gave me the experience to enter my first online marketing job, the exposure to be found by my second one, and the authority to finally leave the 9 to 5 world and become a freelance writer. :)

Well today my blog gave me my first speaking engagement and I’ve only done it for 3 weeks.
My blog is the core of my Social Media Marketing strategy.
The effect: the last thing I think about before I go to sleep is how I’m going to write an even better blog post than I did today.
Call me crazy if you like.

I have been blogging for a year now under FBSmarty. Every single week, at least one. Then on Monday I send out a short concise enewsletter which leads to the blog post. The blog is inside my website for best SEO juice.Of course, each blog is promoted through Facebook. Recently I have also been creating 5 tweets about each blog. I do rely on hootsuite to post all of these.I have been so very fortunate to be a speaker at 6 venues this year plus other amazing things. I really believe its about being consistent and knowing success is earned.This forum is wonderful and I look forward to sharing and learning!
