I’m just starting out with Hootsuite, trying to add an RSS feed of a blog but nothing gets posted to Facebook and Twitter when I do a blog post. Any suggestions?

This is the feed I’m using. I checked it with a feed validator site:

I would also strongly suggest Feedburner and an absolute must. Metrics, customization, control.

 I use HootSuite extensively, but I rarely use the blog RSS feed function. I prefer to write a “teaser” for the latest blog post that includes the link, and to schedule it to post once to my Facebook page (at a time of day most of my fans are more likely to be on FB), and 2-3 times to Twitter — morning, early afternoon, and evening. That gives me a bit more control over the content of my teasers and when they get published.
