    How much time is enough to spend on visiting and commenting on other sites? How many posts are a reasonable amount each month? I originally tried to post one or two a month, but 5 blogs and a website, along with all of the other social media, has me struggling to make it worth looking at! Helpful tips welcome…thanks!

    @mssilvr I think most bloggers aim for a minimum of one post per week, but I have seen some successful bloggers go with one post whenever they feel the urge and have a lot of success with it.  Usually, the less posts you do, the more epic they need to be to make an impression with readers.

    This past month I have challenged myself to post each day. The results are amazing! My traffic has doubled and getting more comments.

    It has also corresponded with the implementation of Jetpack but I don’t really know if that is making a difference.

    ATM because my blog is new my primary focus is to do more guest posting but also keep the content up maybe a post every few weeks or so :) but I would really like to start doing more guest posting purely to gain a bit of authority and traffic to my blog

    I have just submitted a guest blog, not quite understanding the end result yet…is it more exposure to your own blog through a guest blog? It seems to be twice as much work if I am doing this…? So far all of the comments, tweets, shares, etc. have not resulted in much! I welcome any input in this issue!

    If you say more traffic – how do you get more traffic?  Do you advertise your blog or do you have everything that Google needs to put you in nr 1?

    @elmaripotgieter Well I think the thing I did to get more traffic was:

    1. post every day
    2. post link on google+, facebook, facebook groups related to post, linked in and twitter
    3. comment on 3 blogs per day

    I also used or tried to optimize the title and headers with keywords in for my niche. Still working on these things. I did not advertise or buy advertising. Just put my blog address out as much as possible.
