Blog Curation (5 posts)

  • I am just starting to do blog curation and as wondering if others had some experiences they could share.

I am using 2 pieces of software to assist me with blog curation and I am also starting to do video curation as well that I will embed on my blog.

    Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

  • I do quite a bit of curation, and I find that people like it so far. My advice from trial and error is to keep things brief. When I did some longer synthesis curation–handling multiple articles within the same entry–people were turned off. The like to have their info. one piece at a time it seems.

Also, I would highly recommend doing critique, review, and comment about the articles. Readers from my experience like to hear what you have to say about the article, not just a summary.

Let me know what you think as well. I can always use advice.

  • Hi @Amnuai,  sounds like we’re in similar boats…:-)
Look forward to sharing tips with you.
@Darin, that sounds like a great tip…keeping things brief.
Here is my fledgling curation blog:  Social Media Curator
@Amnuai:  what software are you using?  I’m using Page One Curator, Tube Authority Blaster, and Ninja Curation Profits…

    Hello Darin and Jim,

Thanks for the advice Darin about not just keeping things short but also making sure we add some real value with an opinion. This is something I need to do more work on. Jim like you I am also using Page One Curator and Ninja Curation Profits for video blog posts had some initial problems with the WP plugins but now OK).

I am also using Instant Content Creator Pro as its great for using highly quality content from Ezine Artilces. In addition I use Video Shadow and Ninja Tube Spy software to identify quickly details I am looking for re YouTube videos but I have not finalized a video curation post yet – that will start next week for me.

Really enjoyed your post about the “local police” Jim – very well done and very enjoyable. Liked the way you curated both video and text together in one post.

But I have only just started the curation process – just wish I could get more regular blog visitors. For your interest here is our Thai Silk Magic Blog

Stay in touch guys as i think we can really learn, share and help each other.Amnuai

  • Sweet site! I love the layout – very hot.

As far as more visitors go, I would recommend patience and time, even though that sucks. I’m kind of in the same boat. I have found, however, some useful tools, so pardon me for sharing a couple posts rather than repeat it all :-)

Hope these help. This is a compilation of hours and hours of mind numbing research. I hope it’s not as numbing for you ;)

Press on Amnuai, you’re doing valuable, important work.
