  • In your experiences, what is the best SEO plugin/tool/software for Wordpress?

I’m looking to find a good one (the best one) that I can use across all my blogs.

Thanks in advance for your time and insight!

  • @mutungaI like All in One SEO Pack They have a free and pro version.http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/

  • @mutunga If you are comfortable with coming up with your own SEO information and just need a place to put it, All in One SEO Pack or Platinum SEO Pack are great plugins.  If you need SEO suggestions for your post, you might want to look into Scribe SEO which actually helps you optimize your posts for SEO instead of just giving you the fields to pop in your meta data.

Alternatively, if you are using themes like Thesis or Genesis (discussed here), you will not need All in One or Platinum because the fields are built into the theme. Scribe could still be an option if you need the actual SEO help though.

  • @kristi-hines

I’m a Genesis guy. Currently using Wordpress SEO by Yoast. I’ve played with ScribeSEO before and it seem like a really great product.

I was curious to see if anything was better.

    Thanks!

  • @mutunga Scribe certainly is a tried-and-true solution — and if you shop around you might be able to find a discount coupon. (I believe CopyBlogger has mentioned that it plans to release a Scribe upgrade this year, but I don’t know anything more about the timing.)

“Is there something better than Scribe?” I can’t say for sure if this is better or just different – but you might well want to look at InboundWriter. Like Scribe, InboundWriter is available as a WordPress plugin. Unlike Scribe, however, InboundWriter factors in real-time search and social media intelligence as it guides you in optimizing a post.

Although my experience with InboundWriter is limited to only a few posts, I found it to be an impressive tool.  Why not take a look?

  • @mutunga i agree with most recommendations here, i generally go with all in one seo pack and platinum seo.

    Cheers!

  • Platinum seo and ultimate are both good for seo, but a silo architecture and strong internal linking process can reduce the number of inbound links you’ll need to rank for …checkout these links to find out more. they are direct links with no affiliate stuff going on…
