Are you playing the rules when it comes to Google Pengium (3 posts)

  • Many people have been wondering why their analytics have been taking a dive on the deep end despite the fact that they think they are following the rules.  Since April 2012 the Google algorithm has put up tigther guidelines on website optimization as a result we are seeing a large number of websites drowing once they are caught or classified as web spammers, keyword stuffers, cloakers and containing unnatural links not to mention the famous content spinners.

Have you experienced this on your blogs or websites and how are you managing to correct so that your website rankings stabilise?

  • @elizabethhorlemann We experienced certain downside with penguin updates, but then we started focusing more on content creation with becoming more strict to keyword density. Earlier keyword density was okay to be in between 3 to 5 % now we follow it to be 2% or even lesser as specified in updates. And you know, it helped us lot!

  • @Moin Shaikh that is right. Not only that, we now have to watch out for the length of the article, not to mention the optimization like the H Tags, layout etc.
