I was in a procrastinating mood when I should have been writing my last blog post, which made me wonder … do you procrastinate too or get your blog posts out on time like clockwork?

I find it difficult to get motivated sometimes. I’m not a “natural writer” so it’s hard for me, unless the topic is a particular passion. I try to schedule topics as far in advance as possible and invite guest bloggers every few weeks to give me time between posts. I try to post something every week and try not to go longer than 10 days unless its a holiday. Sadly I do miss a week about every 5-6 weeks.

Been blogging (and or having a guest) every other day now since last May… Try to stay a few ahead but there are times when it’s 1 a.m. and I’m scurrying for something. But what you need to know is this: Online readers will come to expect something on a regular basis – whether that’s daily, every other day or weekly — and they’ll turn on you (leave) if you’re not holding up your end. I suggest to clients that they get a few extras in the queue for those times when you just don’t have it in ya to create something new!

@jason-carnahan, I am a consultant in the hospitality sector, specializing in electronic distribution and marketing. I blog, however, about anything related to hotels… trying to be insightful and diverse in topics, for example my most recent blog was about the problem with lighting in hotel rooms.
I am currently trying to write about the parallels with Manti Te’o's “Catfishing” troubles and the hotels doing “catfishing” by posting fake images that hook the guest but don’t really represent what they find when they get there…
