A google analytics question to bettter understand my blog (5 posts)

  • Hi all,

My blog, which is part of a Wordpress website, is going well. I use google analytics to monitor it, but I haven’t taken the special courses yet.

I need to know the stats FOR THE DAY. I tried all possible ways and searched the web for an answer, but it seems I’ll have to study more. Meanwhile, can anyone help me?

What I need to know is the logs and all other stat items for ONE specific date, and not cummulative as the regular report shows. When you go to the “in page statitics”, it doesn’t make any sense: you check the clicks in each item, they just don’t add up to the peak you got.

My website is mariliacoutinho.com . I have many others, which, by my expert friend’s advice, I just linked to the new one (bodystuff.org , qualiresearch.com, etc) because he said my name was stronger than the “brands” I devised.

    That’s it.

    thanks!

I’m hoping I understand correctly…You want the stats for the current day, correct?  If so, on the upper right hand corner under the bright orange bar it has the date range.  Click on it and just change the dates.

You can also use Jetpack from WordPress.  On of the apps in Jetpack is website stats which will tell you some of the same info Google Analytics will but you can view it anytime you’re logged into your WordPress dashboard.  To upload it to your site, go to plugins, and search “jetpack”.  It should be the first one on the list.  The full title is “Jetpack by Wordpress.com”.

  • Nochole, you just gave everyone a lesson on how to win costomers. I just:
    - liked your page- put it in my interest list- recommended it in mine (“Enthusiastically recommended – this girl knows what she’s talking about”)

Because you solved my problem in 42 seconds, one that I had turned the web upside down and hadn’t found the answer to.

Thanks a lot and I wish you tons of customers.

Awww, thanks!  I really appreciate it and am so glad I could help.  If you ever need anything else, just ask.  Always happy to help!

  • I used to like statpress but they now longer update that plugin. So now I use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/ so every time I log on to WP I can see my stats :)
