Do you attend in-person conferences?

Imagine an event where you rub shoulders with the social media pros you follow and admire online.

Then imagine networking with 1,000 fellow marketers in beautiful San Diego, California.

Now add the waterfront San Diego Marriott Marquis hotel, an opening-night party surrounded by dinosaur relics, an evening networking cruise on Southern California’s largest private yacht and 49 expert-led sessions.

That’s a small sampling of what’s in store for you at Social Media Examiner’s new conference: Social Media Marketing World!

What? Social Media Examiner is hosting a physical conference?

Social Media Examiner is known for its signature online summits like Social Media Success Summit and Facebook Success Summit.

And yes, these events bring together the world’s top social media experts and entrepreneurs, and gather huge worldwide audiences.

But social media marketing doesn’t need to be strictly an online experience. There’s great value when you make those online relationships come alive in person.

“This is a unique opportunity to connect face-to-face with the top social media marketing experts in the industry, and to hang out with other like-minded professionals, many of whom you’re connected with online,” says Michael Stelzner, CEO and founder of Social Media Examiner. “Meeting these people and developing relationships opens up the kind of opportunities that simply can’t happen online.”

Marketers always have numerous opportunities to attend online events, but rarely do they get a chance to experience a one-of-a-kind physical event that delivers the experience of a lifetime.

Until now. Now the organization you trust for highly valuable content is bringing only the best presenters to its premier conference, Social Media Marketing World.

I’ve been waiting for you all to do an in person conference (seeing that I can never seem to focus on the online ones with everything else I have going on all day) but you’ve scheduled it at the same time as my company’s conference!! UGGG. Maybe 2014 (just don’t do it the first two week of April please!)

  • Michael A. Stelzner

Hey Chritz – We’ll miss you.

  • Mike Wolpert

Michael – what a great idea! You do some great stuff online, I bet in Person will be extraordinary!

  • PhilMershon

This will be a fantastic event, Mike. Hope you can join us.

  • Dawn Claremont

I wish Social Media Examiner was a little more original with the speakers. These are the same speakers we see everyone else talking about the same thing. I’m just not convince this conference will be any different or better or worse than the 150 other social media conferences out there. It’s a really expensive ticket and I’m not seeing the value.

  • Michael A. Stelzner

    Hey Dawn,

The fact that you recognize these speakers is actually a good thing.  They have all been carefully recruited due to their excellence and they will all be presenting original content.  These are the thought leaders.  I would study the agenda and ask yourself if there’s something you feel like you’d like to master that you might pick up from these folks.  But at the end of the day, this event may not be for you.

  • elizabeth Maness

I don’t see how I can afford not to be there ! Wow you have an awesome line up! Can’t wait to see you there !

  • Donna Moritz

I’M THERE!  Have the flights, have the room at the Marriott, and will have an awesome 2 week holiday with my family beforehand in SF, LA and SD ending in one of the best seminars in the world!  Now, if I hadn’t already booked, this post would have tipped me over the edge, seriously….ha ha.  The video was the clincher for my husband and kids Mike!  I will be sharing this with my US and Canadian friends who are sitting on the edge (and who don’t have a 13 hour flight to take lol).

  • Donna Moritz

See you there John, and wow, I just clicked on your site and I will be zipping it straight over to my RSS – what a great site and line up of people for your interviews, and brilliant branding!

  • Michael A. Stelzner

Looking forward to it Elizabeth :)

Social Media Examiner is missing one key ingredient.  You need a scholarship program that allows High School Teachers to come to this program for free.  Social needs to be taught at the high schools.

  • Texwaywrestling

How can we bring Social Media Marketing into the high school curriculum?  This is great skill for a young person to know.
